Flagstone

Flagstone is irregular, flat natural stone used for patios and walkways.

Flagstone is flat, irregular-shaped natural stone slabs used for patios and walkways, set either dry-laid on a compacted base or mortared over a concrete slab. In common use it refers to organic, puzzle-fit installations rather than cut dimensional stone. Pennsylvania bluestone, Delaware River stone, and Chilton are common flagstone varieties locally.
