Repointing

Repointing is renewing the mortar joints of existing masonry by removing and refilling them.

Repointing, also called tuck-pointing, is the process of removing deteriorated mortar from the joints of existing masonry and refilling them with fresh mortar. It restores both the weather seal and the appearance of stone, brick, and block walls. On older Chester County homes, timely repointing prevents water intrusion and structural decay.
